New phone won’t work

    I live in the UK but I am in Japan at the moment. I have had to replace my iPhone and all has transferred OK except I can’t transfer my phone/data account.
    Two possible contributors: I flew via Shanghai where Lebara service appears to be provided through Vodaphone. When I transferred files here in Japan, including my Lebara phone number to the new phone, it said I didn’t have an account with Vodafone!! Obviously I don’t as my account is with Lebara
    secondly I am using a third party data service in Japan but was still able to receive texts on my old phone via Lebara.
    Do I have to get a fresh PAC code please?

    Chris1 I have a couple of questions, are you using an eSIM or physical SIM? You mentioned a PAC code, are you porting into Lebara from another network or are you using your existing Lebara plan in a new phone?

      Thanks for your reply. I have bought a new phone which takes eSIMs My old phone has a physical SIM. I used chat yesterday and they suggest I will have to wait until I get back to UK to sort this out. I’m thinking I will open a Giffgaff account and transfers my mobile number to them so I can receive texts once I get rid of my old phone, then talk to Lebara when we get home.
