I have recently seen a spike in overnight data usage, while my phone is on charge and connected to my home wifi. A quick search on here clearly indicates that the same overnight usage, which my son has also experienced, is not isolated. There are lots of questions and reports of this happening.
This came to a head two weeks ago when 26.8GB yes GB of data were used over night. This left me with no data left on a 50GB plan half way through my plan month. I called Lebara who told me that my wifi probably turns off over night and resets. my router is set to restart once a week, and that is not on a Thursday night. They were going to look into this but a week and a half later, I have had no replies or explanations and no data has been returned and my allowance will renew next week.
I had increased from a 25GB to a 50GB plan a few months ago because of data usage spikes, and now this.......
I have now set automations to turn data off over night and start it up again in the morning, but this should not be necessary.
Can anyone at Lebara tell its customers why this is happening please, or do I need to seek a more robust route to get answers?
