Joining public WiFi

I ran out of my data a few days ago. However, my plan renewed today. While out at a restaurant, I tried to join the free WiFi but it just whirred and whirred and never joined. Any advice on how to join public WiFi such as this? Do I need change settings somehow? Or should I put it down to a bad one-off?

This wouldn't be anything to do with Lebara. It would either be your phone or wifi at the place you were at.

What phone are you using?
Does wifi work in other places?

I had trouble all day, intermittently. But you’re right: I was able to join other public/shop WiFi but not always.
