Hi,
Today i got scammed by a person pretending to be from Lebara customer support - he called me to help me with changing my 4g sim to 5g as they collaborate with Vodafone, he had all me details , phone number, home address. Intially I got suspicious about him so login to Lebara Website and went to thier help support and then chat support. I shared my concern with the chat advisor and shared the two numbers from whom the fraudster was calling me - the Lebara website chat person approved those two numbers and confirmed that they are calling all customers for this sim change.
I believed, the Leabra Chat support advisor and the person pretending to be from Lebara told me to pay £50 as a security deposit which is refundable, I did not doubt because the chat support advisor approved it as a legit, so i paid and got scammed for £460.
When i called the Lebara help support via call they said its a fraud, they are no doing it. When i asked the chat support advisor to help me to get the previous chat transcript as they record everything , he said no we can't provide it.
I think Lebara website is hacked because the moment I chat with the advisor the Fraudster again call me on whatsapp.
Can anyone please tell me what should i do now?
Thanks.
