Cancelling my Vodaphone Sim only account (now out of contract)

Given that Lebara uses the Vodaphone network, what is the procedure to cancel my Vodaphone account, and move to my new Lebara account, keeping my mobile number ?
Also , should I cancel my monthly direct debit with my bank, or can I rely on Vodaphone to do so ?

Do not cancel your Vodafone contract or you will lose your number. Also be careful of canceling direct debit early or you could incur debt against your credit report if you owe them money.
Process is
1 - Order lebara sim
2 - Request pac code from mobile provider by texting PAC to 65075 you will receive pac code which is valid for 30 days.
3 - Use the Lebara port in feature once you have received and activated your Lebara sim.

Number porting submissions only happens Monday to Friday so if submitted Friday wont be till Monday.
4 - Number will be ported which will cancel Vodafone contract without any input from yourself.
Any final bill will be taken as per usual on billing date by Vodafone.
