Sending sms to an international number from UK

I just tried sending a sms to a friend abroad but it failed to go. Is there a restriction on Lebara SIM preventing sending messages abroad from UK? If yes, what is the solution?

You need to top up account. Messages abroad are not free.

Have to do it on app or via website.
There are 2 options top up or auto top up depending what you prefer.
Lebara doesn't support direct debit that's why you dont get credit.
