I received a call from +44 114 352 3648 pretending to be Lebara calling to upgrade my plan and a 40% off my current plan with unlimited calls etc for 12 months. Please if you get call from this number or any number just hang up.
I usually don’t answer calls from unknown numbers. However I recently started using a new service and answered the call thinking it was them. I was caught off guard and these impersonators almost got the better of me but I declined the payment approval and then they started being very pushy but the bank protection on my account also protected me.
Please note, they will send texts with sms verification and send an email from [email protected] too. The emails looked similar and I missed some other things which clearly my hungry brain failed to comprehend at the time.
So yeah - please learn from my mistake and near miss and don’t respond.
