If you had a tech time machine and could resurrect one feature from older phones to become standard on modern smartphones again, what are you choosing?
Here are a few classic contenders to spark your memory:
- Headphone Jack: No dongles, no Bluetooth pairing issues, no charging your headphones.
- Removable / Swappable Batteries: Instant 100% charge in 5 seconds flat just by popping off the back cover.
- MicroSD Card Expansion: Endless local storage without paying monthly cloud subscription fees.
- Tactile Physical Keyboards: The satisfying click of a full QWERTY keyboard (shoutout to BlackBerry!).
- Indestructible Build Quality: Throwback to the Nokia era, when dropping your phone meant damaging the floor, not the screen.
- Wild & Experimental Designs: Swivel screens, flip phones with outer displays, colourful interchangeable covers—back when phones didn't all look like identical black rectangles.
