Where did you see this its very unlikely as they would need to reissue millions of sim cards.
Also costs be higher on EE as with Vodafone+three merger costs had to be frozen by law for merger to take place for mnvno's.
    Nothing in news about this.

This has come up a few times adynico, I can confirm that there are no plans to move over to EE's network.

Superuser25 good to hear that there are no plans to switch from Voda but, generally, MVNO contracts with the host networks are only a few years long. I don't think they would need to reissue SIM cards to switch either e.g. Lyca switched to EE a couple of years ago and didn't reissue SIM cards.

Lyca didnt need to do it as they own the core network infrastructure themselves they are a full.MVNO(
Lyca Mobile is a "Full MVNO." Unlike "Thin MVNOs" that rely entirely on the host network's core (like how Tesco Mobile relies on O2), Lyca owns its own core network infrastructure (the "brains" of the operation).
          • Because Lyca manages its own subscriber database, they simply had to "re-point" their backend systems from O2's radio towers to EE's radio towers. To your phone, it still looks like it's talking to Lyca, even though the physical signal is now coming from a different company's mast.
Lebara doesnt have this as they are a thin MVNO

Oh wow, thanks I thought all MVNOs were created equally.
Does this impact throttling data speed, GSM call quality, 5G standalone or, switching between VF and Three signals please? would be good to create a list of thin and full MVNOs.
The best I have found is this:
