RCS on iPhone ?

Hello! Will RCS messaging for iPhone be implemented this year? We're using Signal for cross platform (android to iPhone) multi media messages but would be great if RCS came to iPhone users on the network.

Hello StudioMuppet! RCS messaging is available on iPhones running IOS 18. If you go to Settings > Apps > Messages > RCS Messaging you should be able to enable it from there. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Martin, I’m on IOS 26 and can’t see the RCS messaging option under messages.
Using a SIM card (rather than eSIM), only mention as they run on different cores to my understanding.

Thanks Thomasad I checked the Apple support page and it says that you can chose which app to run RCS messaging but the steps to enable it should be the same.
