    Hi everyone,

With such a wide variety of mobile devices available these days we're spoilt for choice! Are you a die hard Apple fan or do you like to mix it up with the abundance of Android devices on the market? Do you prefer a dumb phone or the latest smart device with all the bells and whistles?

I'm currently using the Samsung S24. I've been using the S series since the S4 and just really like how the device performs and the customisation options for things like background images and app widgets.

Let us know in the comments below which handset you're currently using and what you like about it!

Right now I'm on the OnePlus Open. I had been wanting a fold-style handset for ages, but the Samsung ones just were poor quality and 1st Gen. Then OnePlus released the Open and I dove in.
Having the larger screen and the multitasking is great - easily the best phone I've ever had (and that includes Apple).

That's interesting HighChurch , I've not come across this make before - it looks pretty sturdy, I'm a fan of sturdy phones at the minute. I currently have a Google Pixel 9 - my favourite phone so far having been a Samsung guy for years!

What's your favourite thing to do on the OnePlus Open? Good for videos and gaming I assume?

NickEmmett Its great for video and gaming, but what I really like about it is its multitasking. You can have three apps open side by side and flit between them with ease. Its not a big bells and whistles feature, but my word have they cracked it.

Martin Motorola G75. Great 'phone, not too much bloat and built like a brick.
Updates guaranteed for the next 5 Android versions. Relatively cheap too.

Sounds good Barfly, is that your first Motorola handset or have you used them before?

Martin - Yes, the first from Motorola. It was a steal at the price compared with all the others. Previous handsets were: a China 'phone I can't remember, Samsung S3, Ulephone Power 6, Xaiomi Mi10 lite 5G.

The Motorola has mil spec drop and immersion capabilities and does everything I throw at it. I use Android Auto in the car and it connects seamlessly when I get in and never misses a beat. On top of everything else the guaranteed updates is what really sold it for me. The only thing I am hesitant to recommend it for is battery life, not as good as it could be, but I just bung it on the wireless charging stand overnight, so not an issue for me. EDIT: I forgot to mention the ridiculous procedure for powering the 'phone off. You have to acrobatically position your fingers to hold the on-off??? so called switch and the volume up button simultaneously then dab a finger in one of the 4 boxes that appear to actually switch it off. How stupid is that? What's the matter with just holding the "supposed" indented on-off switch for several seconds like every other 'phone? Crass decision by Motorola.
The ring volume was a tad low for me so I doctored a loud riff from a local band Albatross from the 1970's "open up" and increased the levels dramatically using a linux sound application Audacity and now it is so loud it scares me when it goes off. Even this half-deaf ex band player can hear it. The lovely Jane says it is ridiculously loud.
I haven't rooted it yet as it does everything I need it to do, it connects seamlessly with my linux Kubuntu computer using KDE connect, transfers files both ways and I can use it as a remote control and pointer for my big tv. Basically it is the most perfect Android 'phone I can possibly want.
