Just back from Switzerland visiting some friends and found out [only after a day of not being able to connect] that Switzerland has disappeared [in 2026?] from the list of countries where you could 'roam like at home' One of the reasons I switched to Lebara a few years back was that my previous telco didn't offer free roaming [ie part of your normal package] to Switzerland whereas Lebara did and I have indeed used it a fwe times in the past, it has now droppped out of the EU listing [yes I know Switzerland is not in the EU] but it had previously been in the listing with all the EU countries. I ended up having to buy an 8 day add-on, which was a bit excessive for only a few days out there.
When exactly did Lebara remove Switzerland as one of the countries in their 'roam like at home' as I don't remember seeing any notification that it was being removed? [and why was it removed??]
Are we likely to see any other European Countries randomly removed it future, as it would be good to know in advance, so I don't waste time trying to reset my phone as I thought I has a problem with it?

I guess Switzerland isnt technically part of EU so doesnt have to offer roam at home.

Superuser25 Thanks for your reply, I know Switzerland isn't part of the EU [as in my OP] but my question that I was hoping for an answer to is WHY it was removed, after previously being included in 'roam like at home' and why wasn't there any emails/messages to users that it was being removed, as I cannot find any messages from Lebara to state that fact. As I had also stated I had used Lebara as part of my normal package on a few occasions in Switzerland in the past. I'm more annoyed at wasting time trying to get my phone working while away, when all it needed was a roaming add-on [which it hadn't previously on visits to Switzerland]
There are a number of non-EU countries that are also part of the 'roam like at home' such as Norway, India etc, so are we likely to see any of those disappear without any prior notice?
Having just joined this forum, does anyone from Lebara actually monitor this forum, answer any questions or is it just purely a 'users' forum with no actual feedback from the company?

Okay, so to update users on this, I had a private message to contact Lebara customer support by text today. I sent them a message and they called back. Spoke to a person from customer support and all I asked was why Swtizerland had been removed when it was previously included in the roam 'like at home package' and the only answer I seemed to get was that Switzerland was not in the EU [yes someone else telling me something I already know] but still no answer to the question as to why it was removed from the normal roaming package without ANY prior warning to users [I've looked back though my messages from Lebara and the only messages I've ever had from them is about monthly payments being successful]
I pointed out to the chap in customer services that ther are a number of other countries listed in 'roam like at home' that are not EU countries that are included such as Norway and India, so are they likely to be removed without notice as well....a question I never got an answer to as the guy promptly hung up on me!
So my first interaction with customer services has not been a great experience, not helped by the fact that the person did not have a great command of the English language.
Can really no one from Lebara actually reply to, on this forum, what I thought was a relatively simple question?

Still no one from Lebara wanting to answer a simple queston?..Really a bit pointless having a company run forum, if no one from the company actually answers questions

TheManwithNoName I've received an update on your question about Switzerland being removed from roaming and I can confirm that Switzerland was never part of our Roam like Home destinations. Roam like Home is available for EU destinations and as Switzerland was never part of EU it's not and has never been included.

This confused me as well when visiting Switzerland July 2025 and recently in Feb 2026 as plan suggested it is included. See image

AR2026 that screenshot shows countries that are included with international minutes which is different from Roam like Home destinations.

Martin Thanks for the response. Some (like me) could find it misleading. I initially read the message that the countries listed are included in all the plan details, not just calls.
It was annoying at the time, but not a big issue, for my recent trip I just bought a SIM from an alternative company who do include Switzerland.

Understood AR2026, I'll feed this back to the team that manages the pages so that we can look at updating it so it's clearer.
