    Hi
Just ported my old number from Vodafone to Lebara using the same iPhone SE handset. Everything is fine except be internet
The APM settings were for Vodaphone which didn’t work. Changed to uk.lebara.mobi which also doesn’t work.
I have signal but no data. Account has data available. Data is turned on in settings
    Any ideas please?

I spent a long time on the phone to Lebara support today. I really struggled to hear and understand what the support Agent was saying. However, this seems to be the gist of it:
1: I cannot receive data because the SIM does not include data. I have paid for a plan that includes data so this is a mistake.

2: I need a new SIM and the Agent said he would send one. However, he began asking for my bank account details and said I would need to pay a “security payment”. I declined to provide my bank account details for obvious reasons. There should be no need for any further payment!
3: Due to the communication difficulties, I asked that the matter be handled by email and the Agent did send me an email- asking me to call so that I can confirm my details. Not helpful
I now ask Lebara why they need my bank details in order to replace my defective SIM? And whether a new SIM is in fact in the post to me?
Clearly it may be easier for me to simply cancel my Lebara subscription and sign on with a different service. However it may be that someone at Lebara will notice this and resolve the matter which would be better all round.

      Thanks
      Ian

Not sure why they are asking bank details as lebara doesn't support direct debit.

It did feel like I was being pumped for personal information that would be useful to scammers but was not needed to resolve my phone issue. Which was why I declined to provide sensitive details.

I would like someone from Lebara to confirm whether or not it was a bonefide Agent. There other facets of the call that I have not shared that felt ‘wrong’

I’ve carefully checked all comms and emails.

            THIS WAS AN ATTEMPTED SCAM.
Fortunately I declined to share sensitive data and I’ve changed passwords. Beware!
