How long does porting take?

I am transferring my old number from Talkmobile to Lebara and just over an hour ago, my Talkmobile sim deactivated, and there’s me thinking it won’t be long. But just after that, my lebara sim went out of action. No signal what so ever. I’ve gone into my account and have seen my old number showing up now as my current lebara. How long does this process take? I was hoping the new number would still work…

Now I’ve got the email from lebara confirming number switch but appears they’ve turned off the SIM card!!

Usually a timeframe of 24-48 hours, but takes about 20 minutes once it’s started the process. It won’t get done over the weekend though,so if you have that email you may have to get on live chat again and explain where you’re up to ie portin hasn’t worked. All the best

Yeah I’ve spoken to them. Told me the same thing 24-48 wait but that may not include the weekend I recall porting went a lot smoother first time I switched to lebera. Fingers crossed for Monday!

Weekends are never included as per ofcom rules
