Hi recently I brought my number from other vendor. But even after 1 month the sms service doesn’t work. I tried multiple configs for the sms service and it doesn’t seems to be a problem from my side. Any idea?

    many thanks

              Try below

To reset iMessage after porting a phone number, toggle iMessage and FaceTime off in Settings, restart your iPhone, and then turn them back on. Manually update your phone number in Settings > Phone > My Number if the old number remains. This forces Apple servers to update from the temporary SIM number to your ported number. [1, 2]

Steps to Reset iMessage After Porting
              1. Toggle Services Off: Go to Settings > Messages and turn iMessage OFF. Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn FaceTime OFF.
              2. Update Phone Number: Go to Settings > Phone > My Number, delete the old/temporary number, and enter your ported number.
              3. Restart iPhone: Power off and restart your device.
              4. Toggle Services On: Go back to Settings and turn iMessage and FaceTime back ON.
              5. Check "Send & Receive": Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and ensure your ported number is checked. [1, 2]

              If the Problem Persists
              • Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will erase saved Wi-Fi networks.
              • Sign Out of Apple ID: Go to Settings > [Your Name], sign out, restart, and sign back in to force a server refresh.
              • Wait for Completion: Porting can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate across all services

                Hi,
thanks for your time and suggestions. Indeed it didn’t work as expected but now I sorted.
I inserted the sim into an android and also it didn’t work. I realized then that the service centre had a French number instead uk. I looked into google and got the Uk number. I changed it and immediately started to work. Later I moved it back to the iPhone and also it was working. For some reason I didn’t find this menu to change on the iPhone so I had to move to an android for it
Hope it helps anyone in the future
