    Hi.
I moved to lebara and I can’t send or receive any iMessages to my phone number
I have had no calls or texts today and I’m concerned something is broken.

I have reset network settings and my phone number is under network settings. My number is also in my lebara app

    how do I activate iMessage

To fix iMessage after porting your number, update your phone number in Settings > Phone > My Number to ensure it matches the ported number, not a temporary one. Toggle iMessage and FaceTime off and back on, restart your phone, and allow up to 24-48 hours for the network transfer to fully register with Apple servers.
    Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Actions:
    • Toggle iMessage/FaceTime: Go to Settings > Messages, turn iMessage off. Go to Settings > FaceTime, turn it off. Restart the phone, then turn both back on.
    • Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    • Sign Out/In Apple ID: Under Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID and sign out, then sign back in.
    • Check Date & Time: Ensure Settings > General > Date & Time is set to "Set Automatically".
    • Verify Number: Go to Settings > Phone > My Number . If it shows a temporary number, change it to your ported number.

This works. I did it myself 3 month ago. It took around 30 hours so don’t expect an immediate fix. Ride it out. I know it’s a pain but it works. All the best

Thank you. I have done all of this. It seems like I just have to wait it out. It’s infuriating it takes so long though.

AndrewF5 I finally got mine to work. I had to reset my network settings 2-3 times. It wasnt ideal.
Also disappointed that RCS messages aren’t yet supported.

Roundcloud yes I finally got all my settings to synch. I don't think I would have swapped if I had known how time consuming it was going to be. I have never had problems swapping sims in the past.

AndrewF5 nor me, I was swung on price and reviews didn’t look too bad. Now most things are working I should be fine.
Just need RCS messaging now. But I don’t think Vodafone support that on iOS at the moment either!
