Despite using my phone very lightly, my 5 GB Lebara data allowance is being used up extremely quickly. There seems to be something wrong. What is the reason?

I can only think there are background apps are running in the background. Constant updating like weather push notifications on emails.

Your 5 GB data is likely draining fast due to hidden background activity—such as auto-updating apps, cloud syncing, or social media video autoplay—rather than active use. You can quickly track down the exact culprit by checking your phone's built-in data tracker and disabling mobile data for specific apps.

That is not true. I use the same phone with the same usage patterns, but with a different mobile operator my data consumption is much lower. A 10-minute WhatsApp audio call on Lebara uses more than 1 GB of data, which is clearly not correct. This indicates that something is wrong with the way my data usage is being measured or accounted for. This is an example of unacceptable and unfair practice.

See if you can download usage history in Usage details. This can take up to 3 hours to show. Know where the time and how much data is being used. I’ve gone to Tesco’s and got a Lycra sim because it runs on EE network. I only joined this because I was told it was running on EE when in fact it’s running on Vodafone network. Hope you can get this sorted soon.

I don't run out of data. Most usage is on WiFi. Last month I was told I was close to zero data balance. I topped up. A week later that top up is gone and I'm eating into the regular data - despite being extra cautious to see what is going on. This is not normal. Something's amiss.
