My SIM is active, but I've just tried to send a message, and it failed. It says the message was not sent. Service not activated on network. I have unlimited everything. i'm new to Labera

Check your SMS Centre number in message settings. If you can receive but not send messages its likely the number is wrong.
    It should be +447785014317
Replace the number, reboot phone and try again.
Also try sending yourself a message. If that works but you can't message others that's a more complex problem which is network related. Hope the above helps.

One other thing I should mention, but I don't know what phone you have.
Lebara ( Vodafone) supports RCS messaging which sends messages via WIFI / Mobile data. Look in your message settings for anything like RCS / Chat and enable it.
