I have a SIM-only deal with Lebara. I used to have WiFi calling on my handset with the previous provider, but I don't have the option any more. I am using VoLTE, but it's not much better than normal voice as the signal near me is rubbish from all providers, so WiFi calling was a useful feature. Do Labara need to enable it first for me to access it? If so, how do I get that done because there is no way to contact the support team.

    What phone do you have.
Wifi calling is dependant on Vodafone adding phone to approved list.
On hyper os devices (redmi / poco / Xiaomi) you can override this.

That's interesting. Being model specific was not what they told me before joining! I was on EE before and using WiFi calling. The phone itself is a SHARK 6 (I hadn't of it either until I bought it from Hong Kong!). All in all, it is pretty decent on Android 15. Do you think there may be a way to override on this like the Redmi etc devices you mention? If so, I would interested to know what to try.

        Method 1: Hidden Dialer Code
        Open the Phone app (dialer).
        Type: *#*#869434#*#*.
A message should appear indicating that the Wi-Fi calling check was disabled, which actually enables the feature in your settings menu.

Thank you that is helpful. When I typed everything it was too long - all digits disappear as soon as I type the last *. So, I left out the trailing *. That then comes back with the message "Connection problem or invalid MMI code". I have mobile and wifi signal. Any thoughts, please?

My Wifi calling does work BUT - it ONLY occasionally kicks in - usually when no signal at all. Rarely comes on even on 1 bar of mobile signal. My previous Sky contract (using O2) used WiFi calling most of the time. There's also the issue I see reported elsewhere her about the annoying IMS system notification every time it connects to Wifi Calling but I can live with that.

I can force onto WifFi calling by enabling Flight Mode with WiFi on but does Lebara/Vodafone really have things set so Wifi Calling only used if no mobile signal? I live in an area with only 1-2 bar signal on any network so really need WiFi to be the norm . As others have reported, there is no way to say to use WiFi as priority.

On most phones you can set what you prefer mobile networks or wifi

Thanks Superuser25 . On my Samsung Galaxy I don't get that option. In call settings, Wi-Fi Calling is set to On for the Lebara sim and does work but no way of telling it to use WiFi preferred whenever possible - at least as far as I can see . There is no option on the Mobile Networks screen either.

To set your Samsung phone to prefer Wi-Fi calling, open the Phone app, tap the three-dot menu > Settings > Wi-Fi Calling, and toggle it on. Tap Calling preference and select Wi-Fi preferred to ensure calls use Wi-Fi whenever available. If this option is missing, it may be restricted by your carrier

Superuser25 Can confirm I can only toggle on/off. Calling Preferences doesn't appear. Is this something Lebara do not allow? Doing a quick Google suggests that some carriers stop this option appearing. Three seems to be another provider that does that

Whovian I feel your pain! WiFi kicked in with EE as well on my handset and now I can't even see the option to toggle it on. Evidently, EE are not as strict about the handsets supported on WiFi Calling as long as the phone can do it. Vodafone only allow it for certain phones - probably ones they sell. That's is most annoying for a SIM-only deal. I will keep looking into it and go o the Vodafone shop to see if they have away around this issue.

Being a bit of a dinosaur, this unfortunately doesn't mean much to me but thanks anyway
