Huawei P30 Pro locked to EE network

I have switched from EE to Lebara earlier this week my number has ported fine. I didn't realise my phone was locked to EE. I have contacted EE with the IMEI number and was told the it would take 24 hours to get an unlock code. I contacted EE 3 days later and was told they have contacted Huawei for a code and this can take 7 working days. Can anyone offer any advice? I have thought about taking the phone shop that offers unlocking. I did contact Lebara but was told I would have to get the phone unlocked by EE

Unfortunately ee locked the phone either wait on them or take to a shop that unlocks phones.

I did take it to a shop this morning the guy said the IMEI number was not on the database so looks like I am stuck waiting for EE
