Proteus OK nice to meet a fellow juggler! I'm the same I can only do 3 balls but I know about 30 different patterns now.

pennypincher I'm OK with general interactions on a phone but for big purchases I like to use a laptop with a proper keyboard. Apparently it's a millennial thing but it makes sense to me!

Welcome to the community belljt! Looking forward to speaking further.

      Hi everyone,

My name is Nigel: Good to join the Lebara community a community who have seen the light by joining Lebara.
      Bit of a background:
Back in 1983-86 I headed up a small group in Racal Milgo (part of the group that founded Vodaphone) responsible for developing the early data protocols for carrying data over the cellular network. We modified a protocol called SDLC to CDLC wont go into the detail. One of the early difficult tests was carrying on a data conversation whilst travelling on the M25 through the long tunnel just before the M11 junction. Recognising this Vodaphone gave me a very competitive tariff right up to 2023 despite my leaving the company in 1986. They were not open to any discount discussion. I then changed to Tesco mobile on the O2 network; was very impressed with Tesco customer service but the network was terrible. I managed to get out of my contract within 6 months and was recommended Lebara. Since then never looked back and recommend to everyone who will listen.
I have two SIMs on the 50Gb tariff. One in a phone and one for use in a 4G cellular router on a boat.
I love their attitude, the prices roaming and bolt on for areas where free roaming is not available.

My current handset is a Galaxy S23 FE,

Martin hi I'm Nigel, I use a Samsung S23FE phone on the 10gb tariff. I have 2 dogs, 2 motorcycles and very lovely wife. We live in a very rural area of East Yorkshire so the Vodafone network ensures we get the coverage we need. Fun fact - I've walked away from a plane crash!

Hi everyone, have just moved from sky mobile(02) 5gb plan.
Have taken out 50gb plan on Lebara and it’s 10p cheaper with so much more data.
i have an eSIM from lebara and it was so simple to setup on my iPhone 17 pro max (orange)😂
ported my number an that should be done tomorrow. 🙏
anyway let’s hope this relationship flourishes.😂👍

Hello to all my dear friends who are reading this message.
I am very happy to be here and I can talk to you about our new experiences and ideas.
First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Farhad and I am from Iran.
I am an IT engineer and I have several years of experience working in this field.
Let me be a little proud of myself because I achieved good things during my time in my own country, so I came to the UK to improve.
Dear friends, I believe that in any group you can hear new things. I would be very happy to be a positive and energetic person and also if I can help my friends. So I would be happy to inform me of the latest news and information in this community.
            Thanks.

Hi all, I'm new to Lebara "few months" I'm enjoying the service, performance and stability of the network. It's good to have a community where you can find and get advice quickly. Moving onto the first query I have, I'm unable to send a text to a 5 digit number, my plan has unlimited text. Anyone else had this problem?

Thats fascinating Nigel52! You're probably the most qualified person on the community for data queries then. I know who to ask if any tricky questions come up.

Welcome nigelrtaylor how are you finding the S23? I've been a Samsung user for quite a few years now and have no complaints.

Robert66 good to have you with us! Did your porting go through OK?

Alphatower looking forward to talking with you further, welcome!

mikrilman Bradderz thanks for stopping by to say hello! Welcome on board.

My first experience of Lebara was back in 2009, at the time I worked for a company who sent me to Amsterdam to work for a month or so. While there instead of paying way too much for roaming on my usual phone I decided to buy a Lebara SIM from a local phone shop (and a nice shiny LG phone to put it in). I found the service to be superb, it gave me cheap comms with my workmates also in Amsterdam, but also allowed me to call home to the UK cheaply also.
So, when I got really annoyed with the major networks keep jacking up the prices each year (how can they say they need to do so, what extra costs do they have each year?!? Nothing, its just sheer greed) I decided to sign up to Lebara here in the UK. Service is just as good as I had with the major networks and the cost is a fraction of what I was paying before. I feel anyone who sticks with the major networks is really just being silly or don't care how much money they waste. I'm here to stay and love being able to roam when in Europe, for example when I visit Romania and similar places.
About me? Well, I'm currently working in the energy arena (not net zero I hasten to add, another waste of money) and love music, movies and social drinking

Hi I’m new here I’ve only started using Lebara I have been with Vodafone for the last 10 plus years , this year I decided to keep my old handset IPhone 13 and go with Lebara. So far so good I’m on the unlimited text unlimited calls and 50gb data 30 day rolling contract
i do like to travel so EU roaming is a bonus but I am disappointed by what Lebara offer in the way of ESIMs especially for Asia including Japan

Welcome to the community Zxcraig! Do you prefer the freedom you get on a rolling plan as opposed to being locked in for a year or more?

Thanks for the introduction post Claire, I'm sure we can get your texting issue sorted. Feel free to start a new topic on the Help & Support board!

My name is Steve, joined Lebara yesterday and very impressed with the service so far.
Requested my number port yesterday afternoon, my old network (ID Mobile) informed me of the porting request and all done and dusted before 10.30am the following day.
Looking forward to many happy years as a Lebara customer,
                                Kindest regards,
                                Steve
