We shared the news last week that our Social Media Manager was travelling to Paris to gather on-location information about roaming and general travel tips for you to follow while visiting the capital. They are now back and have loads of awesome tips and information to share with you all!

Where are the best and most affordable hotels near to centre, and is Paris easily commutable from further afield?
My recommendation when looking at hotels is having a look at what they want to see first and map it out on google maps to see what’s maybe in the centre of that or something that’s very easily commutable on Metro. I stayed at the Kyrian Hotel around Montmartre and it was quite easy to go everywhere (however a night there was £100/night so I’m not sure if people would consider that affordable)
You can pretty much walk everywhere in Paris that’s in the city centre, probably having to take the metro for a few instances but their Metro is really efficient. There’s trains every few minutes and the internet worked for me while I was on the metro. To check their tickets you can download the app Bonjour RATP
Where can you eat that’s affordable in Paris?
I’d recommend the ‘Le relais de l'entrecote’ which is a place where they only serve stake frites and salad + some desserts. You get 2 servings of meat and fries and the price is around 33EUR (with a drink included)!
Another place with more options (and even cheaper) is Bouillon Chartier or Bouillon Republique. These are traditional 19th century “canteens” with beautiful decors that serve typical French food. I had a starter, a main and a dessert for 18EUR!
