I'm going to Northern Cyprus in a couple of days and was looking at what roaming charges applied there.
I went via the chat on the app and received this response.
Northern Cyprus is not
considered part of Turkey for
roaming purposes. It is
included in the Roam Like
Home destinations, allowing
you to use your minutes,
texts, and data as you would
in the UK, up to 30GB of data
on the unlimited plan. If you
need additional data while in
Northern Cyprus, you can
purchase roaming bundles
specifically for Cyprus .
This was confirmed with another chat.
I wasn't sure that this situation was correct so I called customer services and spoke to someone who didn't actually seem to know what the situation there was but ended up saying we needed to purchase an add on,which I'm fine with,but was in complete contradiction to what I had previously been told and if I had taken the original advise I would have racked up a very large bill ..
I spoke to another advisor on chat who said it must have been a glitch from the bot. My question was quite specific as was the reply.
I think this is very poor service and needs to be addressed immediately to save anyone else getting caught out with this wrong advice.
