Lebara uses Voda network. Yesterday I got a call from a Wakefield number supposedly Vodaphone. Due to number of customer complaints about signal dropping out they are sending out replacement sims. The only information I gave out was to confirm my email address if she could confirm the name on the account. This seemed to cause confusion and she said the call would be put to supervisor to authorise. I said NO, just post the sim and put the phone down. The number called back 6 times. I sent all to voicemail.
Lebara customer services agreed it’s a scam and said although on Voda network only Lebara would make contact(rarely) as they rely on us contacting them to avoid the above scenario.
    Just be vigilant.

As a general rule of thumb I always tell any who calls: you have all data in front of you. No need to verify with me.
Legit companies send a text with a link. Pointing you to a verifiable link/website where you can find solid information.
My number originated from EE. The amount of call centres that call me telling me that I am due an upgrade or better deal on my EE plan…. unbelievable. They never learn. I love it to play along. Let them explain everything. Ask them what I need to do. Then after a while, I ask them to email me the whole offer and hang up. I hope I wasted their time and some other people have not been scammed in that time
