Lebara uses Voda network. Yesterday I got a call from a Wakefield number supposedly Vodaphone. Due to number of customer complaints about signal dropping out they are sending out replacement sims. The only information I gave out was to confirm my email address if she could confirm the name on the account. This seemed to cause confusion and she said the call would be put to supervisor to authorise. I said NO, just post the sim and put the phone down. The number called back 6 times. I sent all to voicemail.
Lebara customer services agreed it’s a scam and said although on Voda network only Lebara would make contact(rarely) as they rely on us contacting them to avoid the above scenario.
Just be vigilant.
