Until last week I would have recommended Lebara. My son lost his phone a month ago and we ordered a new SIM. We have not been able to activate it because the activation SMS message does not arrive. I called support and this is where things went seriously downhill.
The actual telephone connection to the support agent was terrible. There were frequent 10-20 second gaps between responses during which I was totally confused as to what was happening. The support agent neither spoke nor understood English adequately. He explained there was a temporary issue with sending SMS messages and to try tomorrow. I said it's been a month and we've tried multiple times.
The he asked me to read the ICC ID off the back of the SIM card. I read the number off the back of the SIM card and he insisted that wasn't the ICC ID. I said well that's the only number I have. He kept insisting he needed the ICC ID and I kept repeating that I don't have it. (I have never heard of an ICC ID before.)
Eventually he said he'd send another new SIM. That was a week ago and no new SIM has arrived. Meanwhile you're still charging me a monthly fee for a SIM I can't use.
I am never calling your support again. If the new SIM doesn't arrive and/or doesn't work we are going back to giffgaff. They are more expensive but you can actually talk to somebody who speaks English and doesn't demand information I don't have.

Yes I would absolutely recommend Lebara to friends and family for all the above reasons. Low price, great customer service. I was recently in México and needed to use txt so added one of the add ons which was reasonable priced.
I find the coverage very good compared to the countless other operators I've used... Definitely 5*****

Great UK coverage, fantastic customer service when you need them and EU roaming. Plus you save me a small fortune over the year.

Best provider I’ve ever used and the cost is cheap for what I get 👍

No, customer service is rubbish. Two of my work colleagues have switched to Tesco mobile in the last month for the same reasons

Awful network coverage -- it's not great value for money if you don't have any service.
Concern about lack of commitment to avoid advertising with media that promotes division and hate.

Was recommended to me by a friend. I have been with O2 for 30 plus years. My service is as good. My cost is minimal and I don't know why I didnt do it sooner

I would and have recommended Lebara to all my friends. Good reliable phone coverage, it does what it says on the tin. The one thing I would like is to be able to use my minutes and data everywhere UK EU AUS/NZ North & South America etc. Lebara just makes life easier and keeps the cost down. As for the comment above I don't buy phone service because it is associated with a TV Channel, I buy it because it gives me value for money and anyway if you don't like to view something switch it off HappyRuby. It is all about trust and I trust lebara to deliver every day.

I am going to have to leave Lebara due to the fact I spent 70 days in the EU. Had a message saying need to reduce my usage, I was then back in the uk the following day. One month later I went to EU again and was blocked from using my phone for the whole week. Then went the following month and still blocked. I will be going to EU again in two days and will probably still be blocked so unfortunately I will have to change to another provider.
I would say I have been happy with the service and signal over the time I have been with Labara. Unfortunately when speaking to customer service they can’t confirm when I will be able to use in the EU again

Martin moving from O2 has been easy and turned out excellent. Would definitely recommend Lebara to my family and friends.

I would recommend Lebara because the procedure for becoming a user was quick and efficient.

Yes definitely, good value and good service.
Although currently am suffering with a poor cellular signal at my home location HA5 2TL for the last month. Before that the signal good.
